How much are the shipping costs?
We keep shipping simple with flat-rate pricing.
- Australia-wide: $20 flat-rate shipping on all Kidvelo bikes and accessories.
- Kidvelo Rookie 24 Inch Balance Bike: $60 flat-rate shipping Australia-wide due to its oversized packaging.
- New Zealand: Flat-rate shipping starts from $60, with the final shipping cost calculated at checkout based on your order.

How long does delivery take?
Delivery times vary depending on your location within Australia and the courier service handling your order. Once your Kidvelo bike has been dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your delivery every step of the way.
Most orders are delivered within the estimated timeframe from 2-7 days, although regional and remote areas may take a little longer. During peak periods or public holidays, delivery times may also be extended.

Will the bicycle be delivered to the front door?
In most cases, yes. Your Kidvelo bike will be delivered to the front door or a safe, accessible location at the delivery address, depending on the courier’s delivery policies and site access.
If no one is available to receive your order, the courier may leave the parcel in a safe place if it’s deemed secure, or leave a card with instructions for redelivery or collection.

Can I track my shipment?
Yes. Once your Kidvelo bike order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number and a link to track your delivery in real time.

Warranty & Returns
How long do I have to return the bicycle?
If you change your mind, you can return your Kidvelo bike within 30 days of receiving your order, provided it meets our returns conditions.
To be eligible for a return, the bike should be unused, in its original condition, and returned with all original packaging and components. We recommend contacting our Customer Support team before sending anything back so we can guide you through the correct process.
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll process your refund or exchange as quickly as possible.

How does the return process work?

To help us process your request, please have your order number and the reason for your return ready. Items being returned should be in accordance with our Returns Policy and, where applicable, in their original condition and packaging.

How long is the warranty period?
Every Kidvelo bike is backed by our 5-Year Warranty, giving parents peace of mind that they’re investing in a quality kids bike built to last.
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. If you experience an issue covered by the warranty, simply contact our Customer Support team with your order details and photos of the product, and we’ll work quickly to resolve the problem.

How often does the bike need to be serviced?
Kidvelo bikes are designed to be low-maintenance and easy to care for, so they don’t require frequent servicing under normal use.
We recommend a basic check every few months to ensure everything is in good working order—this includes checking tyre pressure, brakes (if applicable), wheel alignment, and making sure all bolts are secure.

What's the best way to clean my bicycle?

Which accessories are compatible with my Kidvelo bike?

Are bike stands included in the delivery?
A kickstand is only included with the Kidvelo Rookie 24 Inch Balance Bike. All other Kidvelo models do not include a kickstand as standard.
This is intentional, as most younger riders benefit from a lighter, simpler bike setup that makes it easier to balance, control, and build confidence while learning to ride.

Where can I get spare parts like tyre tubes or brake pads?

Can I retro-fit training wheels to your range of balance bikes?
No—Kidvelo balance bikes are not designed to have training wheels fitted.
Our balance bikes are specifically engineered to help children learn natural balance, steering, and coordination without the need for stabilisers. Adding training wheels can interfere with this learning process and is not recommended for safe use.
If your child is not yet ready for a balance bike, we recommend starting with a supervised walking or stride-based introduction before progressing to riding. This approach helps build confidence and makes the transition to pedalling a standard bike much easier.

Finding The Right Size
How do I find the right size for my child?
We recommend using your child’s leg inseam measurement to find the perfect Kidvelo bike size.
Inseam is the most accurate way to ensure your child can comfortably and safely reach the ground while riding. To measure it, have your child stand barefoot with their legs slightly apart, then measure from the floor to the top of their inner leg.
Each Kidvelo bike is designed with specific inseam ranges in mind, which are listed on the individual product pages. For balance bikes, your child should be able to sit on the saddle with both feet flat on the ground and a slight bend in the knees for optimal control and confidence.

What is more important: age or height or inseam?
When choosing the right Kidvelo bike, inseam measurement is the most important factor, followed by height. Age is the least reliable guide.
Children grow at different rates, so age alone can often lead to the wrong bike size. Height gives a general indication, but inseam is the most accurate way to ensure your child can safely reach the ground while riding and feel fully in control.

Can I buy the bike "with room to grow"?
We don’t recommend buying a Kidvelo bike too large with the idea that your child will “grow into it”.
For the best riding experience, a correctly sized bike is essential. If a bike is too big, it can make it harder for your child to balance, reach the ground comfortably, and build confidence—especially when they are first learning to ride.

What is the “Q-Factor” concept?
The Q-Factor refers to the distance between the pedals on a bicycle, measured from the outside of one crank arm to the outside of the other.
In simple terms, it describes how wide or narrow a rider’s feet are positioned while pedalling.
A lower Q-Factor (narrower stance) can help children pedal more naturally and efficiently, improving comfort and control. A wider Q-Factor can make pedalling feel less efficient and less aligned with a child’s natural movement.
